About Concourse 2018-19
Ahmedabad University is ready yet again, to present CONCOURSE -THE MANAGEMENT FEST. Concourse 2019 is an amalgamation of the best management-oriented contests of the country.

CONCOURSE aims to create a meeting place for budding business people and managers of tomorrow. It is an event that promises an opportunity for a student to sharpen her/his skill-set by exploring presentation skills, communication skills, analytical ability, leadership skills, and creativity – skills that proficient graduates will require when they eventually enter the job market. It also gives them a unique platform to interact and compete with students of other esteemed institutes across the country. This will give them a feel of what is expected of them in their career path ahead.

Theme
‘Cultures and Workplace,’ intends to highlight the various nuances of culture, its
forms and its impact on an organisation. It isn’t restricted to just organisational culture but
includes its numerous facets like its relationship with different societies, communities and
nationalities, not ignoring the fact that technology has been instrumental in devising the
workplaces in the modern period and has enabled leaders to come up with innovative ideas to
create a workplace that fosters among the employees’ collaboration for sharing ideas and
problems and resolving them, development of informal relationships that helps in team
building, learning from peers and focus on inner peace, creativity and efforts to achieve the
organisational goals.

Workplace culture is the character and personality that sets the overall vibe of an
organisation. It’s the environment that the organisation creates for its employees and it’s the
sum total of all the values, traditions, beliefs, interactions, behaviours and attitudes of all the
members that contributes in making a business or organisation unique.
​
As per a report by the ‘BW Businessworld’, 92% of leaders from successful companies
believe that workplace culture and financial performances are closely related. And so having
a well-defined workplace culture becomes extremely imperative, as not only does it help in
building a sustainable organisation but also plays a very powerful role in its success.
